Yes, there are people to meet across Alberta. More than 1,000 members list Edmonton as home on LetsMeetUp and more than 850 list Calgary, with more in Red Deer, Grande Prairie and Lethbridge.
Edmonton
Edmonton is the biggest pool in the province, and one of the biggest anywhere in Canada on the site.
About half of the members there are between 25 and 44, and around one in six is over 55, so the age range is wider than you might expect. Read the town on each profile, because people in the suburbs and the cities around the capital are listed separately.
Calgary
Calgary is a little smaller, with more than 850 members. About half are between 25 and 44 and about one in six is under 25, which gives it a slightly younger feel than Edmonton. People who commute between the two cities sometimes set one as home and search the other, so it is worth looking at both.
Red Deer, Grande Prairie and Lethbridge
Red Deer has more than 350 members and the oldest mix of the three: around four in ten are 45 or over. Grande Prairie has more than 300, spread fairly evenly from the late twenties to the early fifties. Lethbridge has more than 250, and about a third of them are between 25 and 34.
A smaller city means fewer profiles to read, so you can look through every active one in an evening.

You can stop at any step without having paid anything.
Staying safe
Keep the first meeting somewhere busy, and arrange your own way home. Long distances between Alberta towns make that more important, not less.
The site flags attempts to move a chat to another app, and you can block and report from any profile. Our dating safety tips go through the rest, and getting verified explains the optional ID check.
